We’re excited to celebrate an important milestone for Ella Rogers, CFP®, and the Financial Symmetry team: Ella has officially stepped into the role of Advisor.
This promotion reflects a lot of hard work, growth, and commitment. After completing the CFP® exam in March 2026 and meeting the professional experience requirements, Ella recently earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.
For Ella, becoming an Advisor is a natural next step in a journey that has included several roles at Financial Symmetry. Along the way, she has built a reputation for being thoughtful, dependable, and deeply invested in doing good work for our clients and our team.
“Ella’s attention to detail, commitment to following through, and ownership of her role in financial planning have made a meaningful impact on the Client Service team,” said Heather Gudac, COO and Partner at Financial Symmetry. “I’m confident the work she has done will continue to strengthen how we train and develop future CSAs and those in the Advisor in Training program. As Ella prepares to step into her new role as an Advisor, I’m excited to see her bring those same qualities to the clients she’ll serve.”
Growing Into the Advisor Role
Ella’s path at Financial Symmetry began with an internship, followed by a role as a Client Service Associate and, later, a position on our Financial Planning team. Each step has given her a deeper understanding of our clients, our planning process, and the many details that go into helping families make thoughtful financial decisions.
As a member of our Client Service team, Ella has been closely involved in welcoming new clients to our Wealth Management service and helping them navigate important financial transitions. Her experience includes coordinating account rollovers, working through the details of complex planning opportunities, and making sure clients feel supported throughout the process.
That work has given Ella a valuable perspective: good financial planning is about listening closely, understanding what matters to each client, and helping make complicated decisions feel more manageable. Now, as an Advisor, Ella will build on that experience as she works more directly with individuals and families on the financial decisions that matter to them.
It’s a role she has been preparing for intentionally. In addition to earning her CFP® certification, Ella earned the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ (FPQP®) designation in 2024. She brings that technical knowledge together with first-hand client experience to help people approach their finances with greater clarity and confidence.
As Financial Symmetry continues to grow, developing advisors from within our team is an important part of how we grow with care. Ella’s transition into an Advisor role strengthens our advising team while helping us continue to provide the personal attention and high level of service our clients expect.
What It Means to Become a CFP® Professional
Earning the CFP® certification is a major career accomplishment. Candidates complete extensive financial planning coursework, pass a comprehensive exam, meet professional experience requirements, and commit to ongoing continuing education.
At Financial Symmetry, we require our advisors to earn the CFP® certification because we believe strong financial advice starts with both knowledge and a commitment to putting clients’ interests first.
We’re proud to celebrate everything Ella has accomplished so far—and excited to see her bring that same care and commitment to the clients she’ll serve as an Advisor. Congratulations, Ella!
