Allison Berger is the Academic Outreach Coordinator for the NAPFA South Region Board. She is responsible for being the liaison between Financial Planning programs at colleges and NAPFA. Her role is to communicate with Finance Departments and coordinate speakers at schools to discuss fee only financial planning as a career path and the opportunities available for students-conference and symposium scholarships, student memberships, volunteer opportunities, etc.
She is in communication to speak at NC State, and go to career day at Campbell too. Another objective of NAPFA is to increase diversity in financial planning and they are working on incorporating that in their student presentations as well.
Allison attended the NAPFA leadership conference in July in Chicago to learn more about NAPFA’s initiatives and how the regional boards factor in to their mission.
