Employee Spotlight: Garrick King

Employee Spotlight: Garrick King-Financial Symmetry, Inc.

Garrick King joined our team in December 2018 as one of our Client Service Associates. He is a direct point of contact for our clients, assisting with all steps of the financial planning process and onboarding new clients to our continuous service model. I recently asked him a few questions about himself so we can share a little bit about him with our clients:

1. Why did you decide to join FSI?

I decided to join FSI because it was a great fit for what I wanted to do career-wise, knew I could maximize what I learned at Campbell here, and also because of the people who I now work with. It’s like another family and I really liked how a lot of our staff started as interns here that worked their way up.

2. What are you most excited about learning in your role with FSI?

I am most excited to learn about everything that goes into the financial planning process and how to continue to best serve our clients and the advisors here so I when I become a CFP down the road I can apply all of the experiences and knowledge to that role.

3. What are some of your favorite activities you enjoy with your friends and family?

Probably golfing or going to sports games. Grew up golfing with my dad and twin brother on most weekends and we are all big sports fans watching anything from Premier League soccer to college basketball. Most of my friends golfed as well and we always go to hockey, football, or baseball games when we could.

4. What’s your favorite vacation / trip you’ve taken?

My favorite trip had to be the 2 week European vacation I went on with my family before my senior year of high school. Started in Italy, then to the Czech Republic, then finished it up in Germany.

5. Would you rather go skydiving or take a ride in a hot air balloon ride?

Skydiving. It has always been on my bucket list and at least you have a parachute unlike being in a hot air balloon.
